Driemo’s second album excites fans
Music lovers were on Saturday treated to a night of fun as the Trailer hitmaker Driemo launched his second album The Magician, at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
The new album comes two years after the artist released his debut album Mzaliwa, marking yet another milestone in his fast-rising music career.
The launch lived up to expectations and offered fans a full entertainment package with performances from both established and emerging artists.
The auditorium doors opened at 6pm, with fans making their way into the venue as DJs kept the mood lively on the decks.
Opening the show was Loiso, who delivered a warm and engaging performance. He was followed by Rashley, who set the tone with his newly released tourism-themed song Ndife.
The anticipation remained high and cheers filled the room when Emmie Deebo stepped on stage for her first-
ever live performance with her backup dancers.
Her set paved the way for Temwah, who also backed by energetic dancers, she lifted the vibe even higher and had fans on their feet.
DJs continued to bridge sets keeping the atmosphere lively before more artist, including Bee Jay, Saint Realest and Gwamba delivered crowd-pleasing performances.

Some surprises came along the way, Bee Jay was joined by Phyzix to perform their hit Tina, while Praise Umali joined Gwamba to perform Plan and Mukadalitsa, much to the delight of fans.
The moment the audience was waiting for finally arrived when Driemo emerged on stage dressed in a magician’s costume, staying true to the theme of
his album.
He opened his set with some of his popular hits such as Follow, Trailer, Popo and Zapamwamba from his debut album Mzaliwa.
Lulu joined Driemo on stage for a performance of their collaboration Maneba, keeping the momentum high before Driemo stepped backstage to prepare for his next set.
Driemo expressed gratitude to fans for their continued support describing The Magician as a reflection of his personal journey in the industry.
“Magicians create something from nothing, and that is what my journey has been like. I have transitioned from nothing to someone people enjoy listening to, someone capable of creating work that captures people’s attention,” he said.
He later returned to the stage to perform tracks from the new 20-song album, giving fans a firsthand taste of the fresh music before making way for Malinga and surprise act Bucci Worldwide.
Zeze Kingston closed the night with a high-energy performance and fans walked out of room excited.
The Magician features songs such as Pensulo, Amake Imulati, All of Me, Yonseyi, Mantha and My Way.
